Our Lost Anchor necklace has been cast from an early 20th century brooch that found its way to me. This fouled anchor holds so much historical symbolism with this image first appearing with its wrapping rope in 1601 when the Earl of Nottingham used it as his coat of arms. The fouled anchor has always represented strength and security to sailors and privateers.
Sand casted in sterling silver , it sits on a 50cm sterling silver oval belcher chain.
