Sultan Ruby Signet Ring

$180.00

Our Sultan Ruby Signet was created using the ancient technique of sand casting. Beach sand was used to give it a unique rough texture and a lab grown Dark octagon Rudy adorns the centre of the ring.

The sand casting process begins with creating a mould of the desired ring design. Pressing that mould into a cavity created with sand then Molten metal is then poured into the cavity. The cooled metal ring is then polished and finished. Sand casted rings are unique pieces of jewellery with a rich history. They are made using a traditional technique that results in a one-of-a-kind durable piece of jewellery.

The earliest known sand cast rings were made in ancient Egypt around 3000 BCE. The technique was later refined by the Romans, who used it to create elaborate rings with intricate designs. This technique continued to be popular throughout the Middle Ages and Renaissance, and into the modern day.
